What happens when you place an account for collection?
Communications from a collection agency convey immediate urgency to the debtor. We begin collection proceedings immediately upon receipt of your request by sending a letter advising the debtor that the account has been placed with NCR By law, as a collection agency, we are required to inform the debtor of his rights and provide him with proper information regarding his/her past-due account. Therefore, NCR must advise the debtor that they have thirty (30) days from the date of our notice to dispute the claim or request verification of the debt. After that time period NCR will place negative information on all three credit reporting agency upon our clients approval. If litigation is needed our in-house legal staff will pursue your case threw the whole process of Judgment, Garnishment and Fi Fa.
Collection Account Options
During the collection process, letters are sent out in conjunction with phone calls. This process is geared to professionally, but assertively, encourage the repayment of your outstanding balance. In addition to all of this, we mail out a computerized monthly status report on each individual account to keep our client fully informed of our progress in the collection efforts. We believe that account resolution is more an issue of “willingness and capacity” then “disregard and neglect”. Therefore we work with consumers and commercial accounts to find the best way to get their accounts resolved.
